Here are some of the most common questions we are asked:

What is the best way to book :

Definitely online- you can select your day and see our full range of products and services offered.

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance :

We strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance as tours and activities very often sell out. This way you can be sure to get the day and time booked for the tour or activity you want.

Pricing :

Is offered at the best available rate but is subject to change without notice. If publish rate offered is incorrect; one of our staff will contact you per-purchase for approval.
All pricing is quoted in US Dollars.

How do I confirm my booking :

By email. Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email immediately that confirms receipt of your request and serves as your credit card receipt.

How will I receive my tickets :

You will receive your E-Ticket (s) (sent by email) including your confirmation number and details for your reservation including the arrival / departure time, departure address or pick-up information, telephone number, etc.

Do your tours or activities have an age limit ?

Most tours and activities are appropriate for explorers of all ages. Please email or call our customer service hotline for more information on a specific tour or activity.

Are your tour guides qualified ?

Drivers / Tour leaders are each hand-picked for their pride and passion for the areas they tour. All have taken and passed a stringen test which allows them to drive vehicles and conduct tours.

Is smoking permitted on the tours or in hotels unless otherwise noted ?

No, smoking is not permitted.

Are food or drinks included ?

No, meals and other refreshments are at your own expense. The amount you need will depend on your budget and lifestyle.

Are tips included :

Tips / gratuities are not included.

Can I add additional people to a hotel booking made through the Tour Collective ?

Yes, please call the hotel directly to amend the booking. The same payment arrangements and terms and conditions apply to any additional guests.
Please also note that any additional guests will be subject to the Tour Collective terms and conditions and other relevant policies.

Can I cancel or make changes to a hotel booking?

The majority of bookings made with pre-paid hotels cannot be changed and are non-refundable. The tour collective may charge a percentage for any cancellations and you may also be liable to additional charges from the hotel itself.
Please note that you (and not the Tour Collective) will be liable for any charges incurred as a result of cancellation of a hotel room.
Changes to booking dates, reductions in number of rooms, amended guest’s name or any other amendments are subject to fees based on the hotel’s policy. Not all hotels allow changes of this nature; The Tour Collective may impose a service fee to complete your request

Cancellation policy for tours and activities :

We require no less than 24 hours- notice in order to make a change to your booking or for full cancellation. No shows or missed departures will forfeit entire payment.
Reservation changes are based on availability.
Unless otherwise stated in the product detail, these policies apply to all products sold on this site.

How are hotel bookings charged ?

If you have a pre-paid hotel reservation, your credit card will be charged at the time of the booking and includes most applicable taxes and fees.
For non pre-paid rooms, payment is due at check-out. Some hotels require a one night deposit charged at the time of booking. Local and state taxes, fees and any additional costs incurred by you are not included in the quoted rate unless stated.

Will I be refunded if I check out early ?

No – you will not receive any refund if you check out early.

What type of payment methods do you accept :

All tours, activities or other services must be pre-paid unless otherwise stated. We accept via Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Card. Amounts will be charged in USD at the conversion rate applicable on the date of your booking.

Is my credit card safe :

We use the Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer and all other popular browsers. SSL encrypts your personal information such as your address, telephone number, and your credit card information. This information is protected. We believe this encryption makes doing business on the Internet as secure as making purchases by telephone.

All of the most popular browsers are supported, but we do recommend the use of the latest version of Google Chrome, as we have found it works best in most scenarios. If you don’t already have it, you can download it here.
